Since 2019, Assouline has partnered with the non-profit organization One Tree Planted in their joint mission to create a more sustainable world. Through this partnership, Assouline plants one tree for every book sold. Once these trees reach maturity, Assouline aims to create a sustainable cycle by sourcing paper from the trees it has planted.

Photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank was raised in San Francisco, California. Claiborne moved to New York in 2007 and worked at Vogue under Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, leaving the magazine in 2009 before pursuing a career in photography. In 2010, Claiborne began her first body of work, a collection of portraits of women in her life, which served as inspiration for her best-selling debut book, American Beauty, published in the spring of 2012. Soon after its release, Swanson moved to Los Angeles and began working on Young Hollywood, her second book of portraits, released in the Fall 2014. In tandem with the creation of her books, Claiborne collaborates with American and European fashion brands, and most recently worked with Clé de Peau Beauté as she photographed her book, Mother and Child. Claiborne also contributes to various editorial publications.

THE ART OF LUXURY BOOKMAKING
Since its beginnings in 1994, Assouline has been dedicated to creating books that are as informational as they are beautiful works of art. The respect for the product and the process of creation is evident in every facet – the traditional technique of hand-binding covers, the imagery that transports the reader to another place and time, the luxurious thickness of each page.
A BOOKSTAND
Coupling an effortless assembly with the ability to showcase every collection from Icons to Ultimates, the Assouline A Bookstand is as elegant as the titles it holds. Designed by Alex Assouline, the luxe stand, with an engraved Assouline A logo centered on both panels, comes in black, red, or clear acrylic.
