The Foreword for this volume is written by Jay McInerney, best known for his sharp, vivid portrayals of modern New York life in acclaimed novels such as “Bright Lights, Big City,” which brings his signature flair to the book’s narrative. McInerney captures the spirit of the Avenue through the ages, from its glamorous heyday to its enduring appeal as a symbol of New York sophistication. The Introduction is written by Julie Satow, the author of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling “When Women Ran Fifth Avenue: Glamour and Power at the Dawn of American Fashion”, named an Amazon Best Book of 2024, a Best Book of 2024 by the Financial Times, and a Cosmopolitan Best Nonfiction Book of 2024. Her first book, “The Plaza: The Secret Life of America’s Most Famous Hotel” was a New York Times Editors’ Choice and an NPR Favorite Book of 2019. An award-winning journalist, Julie is a regular contributor to The New York Times, and her work has also appeared on National Public Radio, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere. A native New Yorker, she graduated from Columbia College and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Please note that items must be returned unused and unopened, in the same condition in which they were received, with all the original packaging. Books, candles, and diffusers must remain sealed in their original cellophane; games and objects must be returned in their original packaging. Exchanges and credit are applicable only at the original point of purchase.
Vespa helmets may be exchanged for a different size within 14 days of delivery, with complimentary shipping both ways.
