An Evening with Roger Federer

The tennis icon graced our Madison Avenue boutique to sign copies of Assouline's newest title, Federer.

On September 4, the Assouline Madison Avenue boutique was charged with so much emotion and excitement that it felt like the finals of the US Open. Almost. While there was a total tennis takeover of our newest uptown store - complete with tennis balls adorning the entrance and a tennis racquet displayed on the wall - the real show was tennis icon, Roger Federer on hand toasting Assouline’s new tome, Federer by Roger Federer, which captures the legend’s journey of tennis excellence.

Fans decked out fashionable dresses, smart suits, and chic accessories lined the exterior of the boutique, and many couldn't contain their enthusiasm as Federer arrived, clad in a signature gray suit and dark sunglasses. As champagne and hors d'oeuvres were passed, fans got a chance to chat with the tennis legend, who graciously signed and dedicated their books. On their way out, each smiling fan enjoyed free tennis balls and refreshments at the pop-up Federer cart.

To be a tennis fan is to be a fan of Roger Federer. His charisma, sportsmanship, and charm have captured the hearts of millions of fans, and his new biography, Federer offers a never-seen-before look into his life as a young tennis star, his incredible career, and his latest projects post-retirement.
