Wherever Your Books Take You

is precisely that: an invitation to follow a story back to its source, to meet the minds that shaped a destination into print. Across three cities and three boutiques, Paris, Miami, and New York, Assouline opened its doors on the evening of April 23rd for a series of intimate conversations that were as much literary insight as cultural celebration.

In Paris, at Assouline's Bonaparte boutique tucked into the sixth arrondissement, Harold Cobert and Ariel Wizman, co-authors of Paris by Paris, opened the evening in conversation about the elegance, historic maisons, and enduring cultural legacy of the French capital.

In Miami, at Assouline's Bal Harbour boutique, the conversation turned to a city that has never been shy about making itself known. Jessica Goldman Srebnick, whose Street Art Icons: The Story of Wynwood Walls documents the transformation of a warehouse district into one of the defining cultural sites of the 21st century, was joined by photographer Kris Tamburello, whose lens distills the sun-drenched intensity of Miami Beach into something close to feeling.

Finally, in New York, at Assouline's boutique at The Plaza, the evening belonged to two writers who know the city's interiors intimately. Julie Satow, whose Fifth Avenue: 200 Years of Stories & Legends traces the boulevard's evolution from country road to the world's most aspirational promenade, was joined by James Reginato, author of The Carlyle and a writer who has spent a career inside the rooms where culture quietly reshapes itself.
